Lumio / self-hosted
Guides

Where do you want to install Lumio?

Step-by-step guides for the most common setups. If your platform isn't listed, follow the Hetzner guide — most steps are transferable.

License — what self-hosting allows

Briefly, for anyone who wants the details — especially those eyeing SaaS: Lumio is source-available under the FSL-1.1. For your own studio and for your clients (also as an agency) you may use, modify and operate Lumio freely — no license fees.

The only restriction: you may not build a competing, hosted SaaS offering for third parties from it. If that's exactly your plan, you need a commercial license — or just use Lumio Cloud. Everything else is free, and two years after each release the version automatically becomes Apache-2.0 (true open source) anyway.

Self-host Lumio.

Source-available (FSL). Docker Compose file, setup guide, done.
